Synopsis: 'Untitled Protozoa Pictures Documentary' is a feature documentary from director Jon Kasbe and Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures that will follow everyday New Yorkers who’ve found themselves stuck in conflict. During the film, they will be connected with New York Peace Institute (https://nypeace.org/) for help. Under the guidance of mediators, our subjects will experience profound shifts in perspective and may even arrive at resolutions long thought impossible.
We’re looking to cast various New Yorkers from all backgrounds, ages and walks of life who are currently undergoing conflict - from mundane disputes over the sound of a nearby pickleball game to profound disagreements about the future of a family home - to be featured as part of the teaser film, and possibly in the feature documentary as well. During the shooting of the teaser (and the film) the different subjects will be connected with NYPI, and we will follow them through the process of mediation, providing the scaffolding for the participants—clients and mediators alike—to embark on a transformative path.
