JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re hiring a Studio / Casting Assistant to join our team and work on projects in film, tv, fashion, advertising, art world, music videos, and other. Looking for someone with a curiosity about people and stories, great research skills, strong work ethic and excellent organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in casting - communicating with agents and managers, managing casting platforms (breakdown services, casting networks, etc). This is a freelance position but we’re looking for someone to become an integral part of our team and continuous collaborator. Looking for someone who's eager to hone their skills in the worlds of casting and film & media, as well as help build systems that will grow with our studio through time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining client and agency relationships through professional emails, calls and meetings
- Assisting Casting Directors during casting and callbacks
- Scheduling casting sessions, as well as meetings and calls
- Managing, organizing and archiving casting materials and documents
- Researching actors, real people, stories, subcultures and specific topics
- Assisting with creative casting presentations
- Posting casting calls on website and online platforms
- Maintaining talent database, outreach charts, up-to-date agency lists and communication
- Assisting with website and social media postings
QUALIFICATIONS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Must be professional, committed, organized and attentive to details
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Team player who can also work independently
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Professional experience in film, production, arts administration or related field, experience in casting preferred
- Strong knowledge of film, media, actors, pop culture, music and a curiosity for people and stories
- Must have great research skills and strategic thinking
- Must have knowledge of social media, basic digital photography and video, editing skills a plus
- Knowledge of casting platforms (Breakdown, Casting Networks, Backstage) a plus +
